Clarity Accounting Ltd are Chartered Certified Accountants and Registered Auditors servicing London and the South East of England. They provide a personalised service to local business owners and individuals.

Their existing server was a Windows Small Business server 2003 which could no longer cope with the growing demands of this vibrant business. Users were starting to notice degraded performance which was impacting production.

The Solution

Clarity accounting wanted to stay with Windows Small Business server 2003 for the time being so Serval Systems built a new IBM X3550 rack mounted host server allowing for virtualization of their existing server on to the new machine.

The new host has ample capacity to support a future upgrade to Windows Small Business Server 2011 with minimum disruption when Clarity wishes to move forward.

Using IDSBox we were able it implement an offsite backup solution which ensures that critical data is properly protected.

The next phase for Clarity was to upgrade all of the PCs in the office to Windows 7 professional providing a much improved performance to the users.

The migration on to the new server combined with the new PCs has now made Clarity’s IT infrastructure more robust, resilient and now has the capacity for future growth to match the business needs.
